The brewing method is completely PLC controlled and can fix brewing temperature and times. The brewhouse is an automatic heating system, cellar chilling (fermentation & conditioning) works in an automatic mode.
All braking operations are regulated via a central control panel or can be fully automated, with the main monitor or any other handy electronic device. The most comfortable and inexpensive alternatives for craft-beer manufacturing include our automatic brewhouse control system and cellar self-control with the main control panel.
Today, the future Nano brewer has more equipment than ever before. Do a little study if a manufacturer or supplier buys new Nano brasseries. Ask brewers about the outcomes of the company in terms of lead time, bridging quality, ease of operation and possibly how the company resolves quality problems.
For Nano-sized systems, steam is rarely a viable option, unless you already have a steam boiler in place. The cost of adding a steam-generating boiler, piping, etc., can prove prohibitive. That leaves direct fire–either natural gas or propane–or electric.
Electric brew systems have become more sophisticated and more popular in recent years. The primary advantage to electrically heated brew systems is they are nearly 100 percent efficient–all the energy you are providing to the electric elements is transferred to the liquid you are heating. Using ultra-low density elements has eliminated the problem of scorching wort. Temperature control is very precise and speedy. And, there are no toxic gases to vent.
The downside is the upfront cost of the electrical control system can be much higher than a simple burner system. In some areas, the cost of electricity is higher than gas–although much of that cost is offset by the increased efficiency. However, make sure you have sufficient power available to run your brew system on top of the other electrical needs–lights, pumps, chillers, etc.
It is always advisable to contact your local licensing and regulatory agencies and learn about the codes that will apply to your use of either open flame or electric brewing systems before choosing either.
